Fullerton Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Fullerton’s 1920s blocks and postwar streets
Fullerton was laid out in 1887 by George and Edward Amerige, and the blocks just west of downtown still show its early years. The Jacaranda, Malvern and Brookdale district holds more than 260 lots, most built in the mid-1920s, under magnolia and jacaranda street trees planted at the same time. Up Harbor Boulevard, Hillcrest Park has been the city’s green hill since 1922. After the war the city filled in fast, going from 13,958 people in 1950 to 56,180 in 1960, and west Fullerton became street after street of tract homes. Amerige Heights, on the old Hughes campus, came last, in the early 2000s.
The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Anaheim is owned by Sara Baayoun and runs from Fountain Valley, with crews in Fullerton every week. We clean and flush gutters, repair leaking seams and loose hangers, form new runs on site, replace soft fascia and install BroGuard stainless micro-mesh. For older homes with deep eaves and big roof planes, 6-inch gutters often handle a storm better than the originals did. Every estimate is free and written.
The weather station at Fullerton Municipal Airport averages 11.86 inches of rain a year, and 7.73 inches of it falls from December through February. Summer is close to bone dry, so jacaranda blossoms, magnolia leaves and palm litter pile up for months, then Santa Ana winds add a layer of grit in the fall. The first big storm tries to move all of it at once. Our maintenance program keeps that from happening, and with El Niño on the way this winter, fall is the time to start.

Year-round
Your Fullerton gutter calendar
Fullerton’s gutter calendar follows the street trees as much as the rain.
- Fall · Sep to NovClear the grit and leaves
Santa Ana winds blow grit and palm litter into troughs. Clean and flush before the first real storm.
- Winter · Dec to FebLook for overflow
Water pouring over the front edge during a December or February storm points to a clog or an undersized gutter.
- Spring · Mar to MayPlan for the bloom
Jacarandas drop blossoms from late spring into summer. Add BroGuard now or book a cleaning after the bloom.
- Summer · Jun to AugReplace while it is dry
June through August is nearly rainless, which makes it the easiest stretch to swap tired gutters for seamless runs.

They do. Jacaranda blossoms are small and sticky, and on blocks like Jacaranda Place they fall for weeks in late spring and early summer. Once wet, they mat together and plug downspouts. BroGuard micro-mesh keeps the blossoms on the surface, where they dry and blow off, and a cleaning after the bloom handles the rest.
Yes. Older homes often have deep eaves and fascia boards that have been painted and patched for decades. We check the fascia first and replace any soft boards, then form seamless runs on site to the exact length of each eave. On larger roofs, a 6-inch gutter is often the better fit for a heavy winter storm.
Once a year in fall is enough for many west Fullerton homes without big trees close to the roof. Houses under palms, magnolias or jacarandas usually need a second cleaning in spring. If you would rather not track it, our maintenance program puts you on a schedule and we come out at the right times.
NOAA has an El Niño Advisory in effect this winter. Book a cleaning and downspout flush in the fall, have loose hangers and leaking seams fixed, and make sure every downspout empties away from the house. In Fullerton most rain already falls from December through February, so a ready system matters more than usual this year.
Yes. Our crews work the streets around Hillcrest Park, the 1920s blocks off Malvern Avenue and the tract neighborhoods farther west toward Amerige Heights. Wherever you are in town, the estimate is free and written, and the same local team handles the job from the first visit to the final flush test.
