Tustin Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Tustin’s cottages, greenbelts and tile roofs
Tustin is really several towns in one. Old Town, the original townsite Columbus Tustin laid out in 1868 around Main Street and El Camino Real, still has Craftsman cottages and Spanish bungalows under big street trees; the city has long called itself the City of Trees. Tustin Meadows, one of the city’s oldest planned neighborhoods, came with greenbelts, composition roofs and long single-story eaves. Tustin Ranch added Mediterranean homes with concrete tile roofs along curving streets in the late 1980s and 1990s, and Tustin Legacy has been building new neighborhoods on the former Marine base since 2006. About 41 percent of Tustin’s homes date to the 1960s and 1970s, so a lot of gutters here are on their first or second life.
Most of Tustin’s rain arrives in a few winter storms. The NOAA normal at the Santa Ana station just west of town is 12.54 inches a year, and about two thirds of it falls from December through February. In between, gutters fill quietly. Peppertrees, sycamores and jacarandas around Old Town drop fine litter, palms shed fronds and seed over the Ranch, and fall Santa Ana winds pack grit into every trough. On tile roofs that debris also lodges under the first row of tiles, where it holds moisture against the fascia. One wet week then finds every clog at once, usually as water sheeting over the edge onto patios and entry walks.
Sara Baayoun owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Anaheim, and our crews come over from Fountain Valley for Tustin jobs. We clean by hand and flush every downspout, repair leaking seams and loose hangers, replace rotted fascia board, form seamless runs on site and install BroGuard stainless micro-mesh. In Tustin Ranch and Tustin Legacy we can match colored aluminum to your association’s approved palette. With NOAA’s El Niño Advisory in place this winter, fall is a sensible time to get the system ready. Every estimate is free and in writing.

Why the Brothers
Why Tustin Homeowners Call the Brothers
We clean and fit gutters on Tustin Ranch tile without cracking the first course, and we clear the debris that hides underneath it.
Old Town cottages get their fascia checked and repaired before any new gutter goes up, so the run has solid wood to hang on.
Approved colors, matching downspouts and a clean job site, so the finished work fits Tustin Meadows, Tustin Ranch or Tustin Legacy rules.

These three months bring roughly two thirds of Tustin’s rain. Mark any corner that spills or any puddle against the slab.
- Spring · Mar to MayRepair and protect
Repair anything winter knocked loose, and put BroGuard on before the jacaranda blossoms start piling up.
- Summer · Jun to AugReplace in the dry
Dry weeks are the best time to swap out tired 1960s runs or reroute downspouts without racing a storm.

They need careful ones. Plenty of Old Town houses are close to a century old, with trim boards that have soaked up decades of drips at the corners. We probe the wood, replace any rot and only then hang a seamless run tight to the eave. A cottage often looks right in copper or a colored aluminum that matches the trim, and we price the choices side by side in writing.
Carefully, because concrete tiles crack when they are walked on the wrong way. We clear the trough by hand, pull leaves and seed pods from under the first row of tiles, flush every downspout and check the outlets. If the same corner fills every year, we will show you where a guard or an added downspout would help.
Yes. Seamless aluminum comes in a wide range of factory colors, and we can match gutters and downspouts to the palette your association has approved. Bring us the color name or a sample, or we can look at the existing trim at the estimate. We also keep the job site tidy, which neighbors in tight HOA streets tend to notice.
With an El Niño Advisory from NOAA on the books, a little preparation goes a long way. Even in a normal year Tustin takes about two thirds of its rain from December through February. We empty the trough, run water through each downspout, snug up any loose hanger and look at the ground where every outlet lets go, because that is where most winter trouble shows up first.
It depends on what failed. A single dripping corner or one droopy section is a repair job, and we will say so. When most joints weep, the hangers are letting go along whole sides or the gutter is simply undersized, new seamless runs cost less over time than fixing leaks one at a time. Your written estimate lays out whichever path fits the house, or both.
