Stanton began as a stop the interurban railway recorded as Benedict on its line to Santa Ana, which opened in 1905, and the name changed in 1911 to honor assemblyman Philip A. Stanton. The first City of Stanton incorporated that year and was then the largest city in Orange County by area, but residents voted to disincorporate in 1924. After the postwar boom, with neighbors annexing land around them, they incorporated again in May 1956. Gutters on a house that old have often been replaced once already, so it depends on what is up there now. Sound metal with a few leaky joints can be resealed and rehung. Gutters that leak after every repair, or that hang on soft fascia, are better replaced with a seamless run. We will price both in writing.
Sectional gutters come in short pieces joined along the run, and every joint is a place to leak. Seamless gutters are formed on site from a coil of metal to the exact length of each roof edge, so the only joints are at the corners and outlets. That is what we install.
Often it is the downspouts. A downspout that ends at the wall dumps the roof’s water right where it can soak the foundation or the walkway. Extending the outlet, adding a splash block or running an underground line, set up through our drainage partner, moves it away.
It is a good reason to. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center expects a strong to very strong El Niño into early 2027, which raises the odds of a wetter winter without promising one. Getting the gutters cleaned and the downspouts tested in fall means you are ready whatever the season brings.
